I bought a cheap leather band band before this one but it looked, well, cheap. Unfortunately if you want high quality leather for your Garmin this is the only one readily available.
I am very satisfied with the leather quality. I like to switch my straps up often to fit the occasion and the easy disconnections of the quickfit mean I can do this in seconds without tools. It looks less like a sport watch and you can either dress it up for the office, formal events, parties, or wear it around town. Then switch the straps back to silicon when I go for a run or head to the gym.
A word of caution. While the leather looks like it may last for a long time, the layers delaminated after 9 months of moderate use (a few times a week). If you are crafty you can repair it with some adhesive. I used some fabric glue and it seems to be holding.
Am I happy with it? I guess so, it looks and feels great for casual to formal events. Would I buy it again? I think so. But the price and delamination issue would give me pause. If you want a great leather strap for your Garmin, this is the only game in town.
