3.0 颗星,最多 5 颗星Really cool toy for about the first 20 minutes but it gets repetitive, and the kids lose interest, very quickly

While this is initially a really cool set up it quickly became boring for the kids.
The booster does move the cars around the track at a nice clip but we find that by the time it comes around the second corner a car has slowed down quite a bit. This is kind of a drag and even with a couple of other Cars vehicles on the track it doesn’t hold the kid’s attention for very long. There really isn’t that much that can be done here. Yes the kids can flip which track a car will be run on, inner or outer, and there is the option to take a car off the track with a gate but then once it’s through the gate that’s about it. Maybe if the thing was connected to another Cars set it might expand the playability but since we don’t have one of those other sets the action is limited. Because of the configuration they can’t even race the cars, it just doesn’t operate that way. The attached bleachers for parking other Cars vehicles will hold things like Hot Wheels but again the kids just weren’t finding interesting ways to expand on this feature.
It saddens me to say it but with just running cars around the track there isn’t that much the kids to can do with imagination. Again, maybe with other sets connected it would be different. All of the action this set up has is centred around boosting the cars and I can’t see this being something these particular kids will go back to very often even though they are Cars fans. I’m sure they’ll try to see which of the many cars in their collection will go faster or simply which one can be used with the booster but how long can that last?
There are a lot of stickers, one of the boys is really into stickers and is a stickler (pun intended) for getting them put on right. It took him about 20 minutes to get them all sorted but after that there’s nothing left to do but run cars around and around and around the track. All three lost interest in about 15 minutes and were back playing with things that offered a greater ability to expand their creativity.
Setting up the track took two adults about 15 minutes, there are a number of pieces that need to be aligned and connected. We found that the blueish end skirts don’t fit quite right, the way they are molded doesn’t allow them to properly line up. While this doesn’t affect the action it does detract from the looks.
While the kids have other Cars Movie cars, it seems odd that the kit only included one.
The booster does require 4 “D” cells which aren’t included. The only tool required is a small Philips head (+) to remove and replace the battery compartment cover.

The one star reviews worried me, but I bought it anyway. My boys love Cars too much to pass it up. Happy to report that this is THE BEST TOY EVER. We have had it up and running about three days now (still on first set of batteries but have rechargeable ones ordered and in the way). You can see from the photo that my littles prefer running multiple cars through at a time - and I am pleased to report that it works. Non stop. I have seen the cars go around that track twenty times or more, and until one of them sticks a hand in or flips a car on purpose. They love it! I love it! Would absolutely buy it again. It is big, so make sure you have the room. It can be loud, but totally worth it.
The only headache it has given us so far was putting on all the dang stickers. Seemed like there were hundreds. Probably more like two dozen. The assembly itself wasn’t bad and, as with any large plastic toy it needs the occasional click back into place. But we had moved it around, put it back together, and everything works exactly as advertised ... only even more fun than I expected.
If your kids love cars, this is well worth it! Also, we have used probably three dozen different die cast vehicles. All the Mattel 1:55 vehicles ... one or two may have been a bit heavy, but all the rest zip around that track NON STOP and at lightening speeds.

2.0 颗星,最多 5 颗星Massive in Size and Massively Disappointing Overall

My son just turned seven and we got him this racetrack because he is a huge Cars fan. I read a bunch of the reviews, and it is true that the cars kind of crap out about halfway around the turns. Not all of them do, and some of them end up gaining enough momentum to keep making it all the way around lap after lap. We've found it works better as a whole with less cars on the track. We don't race more than four at a time, and typically do less than that. The fact that the cars stop halfway around sometimes doesn't seem to bother my son though. He just loves watching them zip around the thing, and they really do go fast. It is quite a project to put together, and it really is pretty massive in size. Make sure you have the room. A couple things that bothered me with the assembly was that the stickers came pretty wrinkled, so they didn't lay very well on the plastic pieces, and they don't have the stickers shaped for the area where they're supposed to go. I'm OCD, so that bothered me, but on they went anyhow. We had two pieces of the wave wall that were not made well, so they won't stay snapped together. It's been a source of minor annoyance for us and my son because anytime we move the track, it comes apart and we can't ever really get it to stay back together. The other pieces of the wave wall overlap and aren't really seamless, but it's not enough of an issue that it's not worth using. Overall, my son is happy, so I am happy. He spends a lot of time playing with that thing and it's the first toy his friends want to play with when they come over to the house. **UPDATE: We ended up getting rid of this. After needing to take the track apart a few times, it never really went back together very well and it majorly affected the car’s performance on the track. The wave walls continued to be a major source of annoyance, and you have to have them on there to hold up the track. We bought this in August this year and only kept the stand for the cars that are “watching” the race, the winners stand, and the base where the cars push through because there are some smaller sets that connect/ coincide with this one we may consider purchasing in the future. Overall, this track was a big let down. My son played with it a lot at first, and then repeatedly was frustrated because the track is just not well-designed. And the slightest movement, even with me on one end and my son on the other, made the track fall apart. My husband and I put it together and followed the instructions word for word. It just isn’t made well in several places and this affects the whole.
