Solid but useless! Did the designers actually try to use these connectors?

As others have said, they're far too wobbly - to an extent that they could be considered "not fit for purpose". The springs fit nice and solid, but there's far too much slack between the springs and the posts.

Also the "female socket" is useless. It cannot even take a banana plug of the same design. Also, it is the same hold used for the wire. Clearly whoever wrote this in the description never tried to actually stack these connectors.

I'll try the suggestion from the other reviewer of soldering the springs, but these are very disappointing. Nice solid feel, but clearly the designers never actually tried to use them.

I don't get the 5 star reviews. If you can see in the picture, there is a sleeve around the post that goes into the speaker. It's the part that compresses to hold it into the speaker post. It is very loose on the banana plug shaft itself. When You put them into the speaker the sleeve is wonderfully snug in there. The rest of the banana plug moves around and loses connection with the sleeve. I'm sure not many people notice because the speaker wire will weigh down the banana plug and make an ok connection. But if you want a secure connection or are delivering high current you should look elsewhere. The rest of the design is great. Love it other than what I mentioned above.

These are barely adequate for the masses. If you are looking for a secure, tight and high quality connection, these are not it.

EDIT: So I returned these and ordered the Sewell plugs that these are obviously modeled after. The Sewell's also have the loose sleeve, but when you insert them into the speaker posts they clamp snugly around the banana plug post. Spend the extra couple bucks on the Sewell.

WARNING! CHEAP JUNK WITH FREE SPINNING CENTER PINS- DO NOT MAKE GOOD ELECTRICAL CONNECTION - NO BETTER THAN ANY OF THE EL-CHEAPO BRANDS - YOU ARE BETTER OFF JAMMING THE SPEAKER WIRE INTO THE PLUG VERSUS USING THESE.

Sorry for the "all caps" - but I am not exaggerating, these are worthless. Amazon should be ASHAMED of themselves for selling this junk with their name on it. They do look nice, but are "all show and no go". the spinning center pins make for very poor contact at maybe 1/4 of the potential contact area

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! FYI You could solder the pins with silver solder so they do not spin, that would do the trick actually.

As other reviewers have noted, these plugs have a very poor design that results in them not being fit for the purpose for which they are intended. Put simply, the sprung part of the plug that compresses when inserted is totally free to spin and is therefore loose on the shaft. You can actually hold the plug by the sprung part and spin the body of the plug like a top. Obviously, the electrical contact between the sprung part and the rest of the plug is going to be poor, intermittent and/or electrically noisy at best, which is exactly the *opposite* of what the plug should do (ie make a good contact).

I returned these and purchased the mediabridge product, which is just fine, and is nice and SOLID!
