Safely and easily keep your knives razor sharp with the 4-Stage Pull Through Knife Sharpener. Ceramic rods in both coarse and fine grits will put an edge on even the dullest knife with only a few strokes. One side features a 15 degree angle for western-style knives, the other a 10 degree angle for Asian-style knives. The protected safety grip keeps your fingers out of harms way while allowing the sharpener to stay firmly on a surface.

I gave this item a low rating not because the quality or performance of the sharpener but because of the erroneous title and misrepresentation of the item.

This is not a "4-stage" knife sharpener; It is a two-stage sharpener for two different knife styles: a course and fine stage for Western-style knives (where both sides of the knife edge are sharpened) and a course and fine stage for Asian-style knives (where only one side of the edge is sharpened).

We opened it up when it arrived, realized the error and immediately returned it as it wasn't what it was advertised to be so we never actually tried it out.

If you have both style knives in your kitchen, this might be a decent option but, as advertised, it is a bit misleading.

Sharpening knives is not a chore I enjoy. But I like a sharp knife in the kitchen, nothing worse than trying to cut veggies or meat and the knife requires too much elbow grease to cut.

I have always been skeptical of these types of sharpeners, preferring a sharpening rod or stone system, but after going through my kitchen knives in under 10 minutes, I am sold. I would recommend this to anyone who cares about sharp knives, but hates the time it takes to use a rod or stone.

I am a big fan of ZWILLING J.A. because of its good quality. At the beginning, I was looking for another ZWILLING J.A. stainless steel Knife Sharpener which I purchased before. However, it seems it is discontinued by the manufacturer. I have to switch to this one. From the pic on the amazon website, It looks like it has many plastic parts which made me very concerned about its durability. But when I received the package and opened the box, I was so surprised that it was much much heavier than I thought. I have to say ZWILLING J.A. is always ZWILLING J.A., hahaha, high quality, very reliable. It is still easy to use and matches my ZWILLING J.A. knife perfectly. Cuz I use an Asian kitchen knife, I just use the Asian (not standard) side so far. It is good after pulling back and forth, the blade is very sharp. Five stars for sure.

Have a set of Henckel knives but have never sharpened them. This tool did the trick! I’m not looking for perfection like some others that write bad reviews thinking an at home tool designed for the novice will provide the same results as taking knives to a professional to have them sharpened. That is unrealistic and unfair to the manufacturers of this product who clearly worked hard to make a sharpener that does a good job at sharpening knives and is safe for the home consumers. This is a great tool that sharpened my Henckels and didn’t cut my fingers off in the process!

I cannot get this thing to sharpen any decently made knife. I have tried to sharpen my Cutco chefs knife, and my dalstrong chefs knife and this sharpener doesn't do anything for them. I ended up buying a whetstone.
