After many hours of troubleshooting and sending back an enormous heatsink (Scythe Kabuto II) for a smaller heatsink (Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo).
I had to reset the cmos by shorting the pins with a flat-head screwdriver and popping out the c-mos battery.
This motherboard (Z270-K) is now booting properly.
I paired this motherboard with Intel 7600k and Crucial memory ddr4. Intel dropped the price on there processor line to compete with AMD's Ryzen because their benchmarks were better. I chose to go with Intel this time due to lower price.
Numerous settings in the bios. Mostly for those who overclock. The temperature of my processor idles at 14 degrees celcius.
I shall see how well I play games now. My old processor was an AMD 8320-E (8-core).
