I REALLY like that my toddler is able to grow with it so I don’t have to get a flimsy seat. It’s pretty standard and simple when it comes to adjusting. You just take off the head cushion and adjust the straps to the desired height on the back panel.
The material is kind of “hard” like a vintage couch but suuuper comfy without compromising safety. It does get a little warm during our summers so keep that in mind. Fantastic for winter. Adds that extra warmth if your car takes longer to heat up. The fabric holds really well. We’ve had the car seat for a few years which means it has had things spilled on it, it’s been picked at, etc. IT STILL LOOKS AND FEELS NEW. Plus it’s so easy to remove the fabric and give it a wash when you need to.
We’ve experienced getting rear ended and this seat absorbed so much of the shock. The body of the seat kind of cocoons the body as well as the head cushion being firm enough to help keep the head in place to prevent whiplash. Baby was checked out and was completely fine. Nothing happened to the seat. Also keep in mind, every situation is different but I’m really trusting this seat.
I really like the harness and the little cushion that keeps the seatbelt from pinching or uncomfortably pressing on the groin area. Same with the shoulder pads so the seatbelt doesn’t dig in when you tighten everything. The seatbelt is a little wider than I’ve seen with other seatbelts and I don’t get any complaints from my nephew wen he’s in the car seat (he usually complains that his normal one dogs in and is too tight). The only small issue I had with the seat was the hooks on the side that are meant to hang the straps aside. Its a little hard to keep the straps aside in the hooks at the lowest height setting but really not that big of an issue.
I LOVE how easy it is to take in and out. We just have this one car seat since we don’t switch cars very often but when we DO need to, it’s not a hassle like other seats. Plus, it’s pretty easy to tighten everything as well so it’s just as secure as it was before. It’s also lighter than other car seats I’ve handled but not by much.
Will definitely buy another for our next kid.
