I'm disappointed in the quality of this rolling pin. It is less finished than I expected. It feels a little rough and has a knot in it. I have not used it as I purchased it as a gift. i will not gift it because I would not like to use it myself. To replace it, I will purchase a rolling pin at a brick and mortar store so I can see and feel it before purchasing it. I should have known the low cost indicated the low quality.

This is a well make rolling pin, made of hard wood? That is not described. I found that dough would stick to it because the finish was a little rough. As a former furniture builder, I know to get a smooth finish you first have to wet the wood down, let completely dry and then sand it with the grain, with fine (220) sand paper. Then the wood has to be sealed up to keep dough from sticking to it. I did this with mineral oil, since it is the only sealer I know of that is non-toxic. Then the color dakened a lot. Yes my roll of dough (whole wheat) is rather wet at first and prone to sticking. I have not tried the roller since finishing it, and may write back if there are problems. Not a round rolling pin. Egg shaped as other reviewers have stated. I made perfectly round wooden objects on a lathe when I was 12 years old at school. Poor quality control, especially given the same issue with other purchasers. Will return the product.

This is a great rolling pin that was perfect for our homemade pizzas and cookies. It was easy for my girls to use - they are 2, 5, and 6 - and also great for my husband and me to use. It is a great quality, arrived right on time, and the seller even followed up to make sure it met our needs. Couldn’t be happier!
