Here's a confession. When I was young, I used to go over to the neighbor girl's house for the sole reason of sniffing her business. And by "business" I mean her Mr. Sketch markers. Those beautiful bastards housed in a styrofoam tray. I can still hear the squeaking as I pulled out each marker one after another and went to town with this pure nose candy.
Being an eighties kid without access to all the high-level distractions of today, I simply focussed on things that smelled bloody good. Strawberry Shortcake dolls. Scratch-n-Sniff stickers. And of course, Mr. Sketch markers. I have memories of myself taking inhuman snorts off the cinnamon marker and just feeling GOOD. After my fix, I would go home with little flecks of color under my abnormally big schnoz, unable to hide my usage.
Then I grew up and smelling stuff took a back seat to being a stupid adult. Bummer, right? Heck yeah.
But now I got me a little kid of my own. He's too young for permanent markers, but not too young for washable ones. So I bought these.
And I relapsed.
When I say I use these all the time, I mean multiple times each day. Yet they rarely run out of ink before the end of the school year! They're like magic that way! The children also love to use them for special projects or to write sentences on sentence strips because of their delicious smells. In fact, my first graders usually feel it's "THE BEST DAY EVER" when they are allowed to use these markers :) Buy yourself some. You won't regret it!
