I used them for filet mignon steak and tofu pieces, I liked them right away for a number of reasons: The grill was on low, i felt the heat was even that way, non of the fat from the meat fell on the burners, so no fire started. the meat will cook in its melted fat which keeps the meat moist, but you can cut the fat before grilling or just wipe it away when grilling, they were non stick for sure, so i didn't have to scrape the meat of the grill bars.
Although with the steaks no pieces would have fallen but without a doubt i can see the benefit when grilling vegetables or fish, or anything that can fall thru the grill bar. I recommend them without a doubt. very small price to pay to have a better grilling experience, and at the end i could wash and wipe them clean.
