My first brass fountain pen
2022年5月18日 -
已在美国亚马逊上发表已确认购买
My second Kaweco fountain pen. After trying the lilliput (aluminum) I was hooked on the form factor, so I decided to get the Supra. Is a better fit if you have big hands and the best part is that you can remove the middle section and almost have a Lilliput size pen. On youtube reviews, everyone complains about Kaweco’s nibs but mine (f) writes smoothly. Is a brass pen so it does leave a metallic smell in your hands but honestly, nothing too serious, just wash your hands and you'll be fine. My pen started to show some patina (you can see the circular pattern left by the lathe) after a day of regular office use (I live in a hot and humid country) and I kinda like it, you can polish it to keep it shiny but I'll let it age and see how it gets. It came with a Kaweco international short cartridge and it works with Schmidt K5 converter. Currently, I'm using it with a Pelikan 4001 black cartridge. Is a great pen with a hefty weight, that feels nice in your hand and writes smoothly. After trying the Kaweco Lilliput with an extra-fine nib, I recommend going with the Fine nib, it writes better.

Great size for pocket carry and well-balanced
2021年2月5日 -
已在美国亚马逊上发表已确认购买
Balance: 9/10 See detailed notes below. Perfect balance when section removed and cap posted. Perfect balance when section kept and cap is not posted. (too short when short and not posted. too heavy and back-heavy when long and with posted cap).
Thickness: 10/10 I am picky about the thickness of my pens and this one is perfect for me. It feels very similar to the thickness of a standard Pilot G2.
Weight: 10/10 Solid and on the heavier side, but the pen has a very good balance of being solid and substantial, but not so much that the hand fatigues when you have to write for extended periods of time.
Writing: 10/10 Smooth but with good feedback. Glides, but not so much that you have to worry about your letters slipping around. The pen also writes immediately whenever I take it out of my pocket without my having to shake it or any of that nonsense.
Carryability: 10/10
Design: 8/10: 1. I could easily give this a 10/10 since my main gripe is with the extra section which allows the pen to be full-sized. It sticks out so that it is as thick as the cap, but it just looks unrefined because it's thicker than the other section of the pen. It feels and handles well, but it would have looked much more refined if that center section was the same size as the body of the pen. That said, the pen is an easy 10/10 when it's in short mode. 2. The cap can be a bit difficult to post since the threads on the end of the pen begin immediately. If the end had a short, straight section, it would guide the cap straight onto the threads without the user having to line up fumble around to get the cap aligned with the pen. I'm thinking that if the end was shaped like the Noodler Konrad or a pen of that sort, it could easily allow the cap to glide effortlessly into the threads.
Fit and Finish: 10/10 No complaints here. Not even squeakiness as you screw and unscrew the cap or the body.
Overall: 9/10 I would gladly give this pen a
I bought this pen because I recently discovered that fountain pens could be carried in the pocket! This pen was one that was recommended for that purpose. I love its modular design. I believe it is perfectly balanced when the extra section is removed and the cap is posted. I carry the Supra without the middle section and it carries very comfortably. As the cap and the extra section add a similar weight to the pen, the pen is balanced either when it is full-sized without the cap or when it does not have the extra section and the cap is posted. At the moment, I don't think I will ever use the extra section, but if I ever choose to use this pen as a desk pen and put the section in, it will be nice to have a pen that is perfectly balanced without the need to post the cap. But, at present, I think that the Supra will have a permanent home in my pocket.

Possible lemon?

So this is the third Kaweco pen I tried. I got the Brass Sport for Christmas last year and love it. Tried the Lilliput but it ended up being just a tad to thin. So I decided to get the Supra after watching a lot of reviews.
Now I don’t know if I just happened to get a lemon, but the first one I received just bled ink. I mean the cartridge was empty and the cap was full of ink.
So I had Amazon send me a second one. The second one is doing the same thing. Within a few hours of receiving, the ink is bleeding out of the nib. Using Kaweco cartridges.
I haven’t seen any reviews mentioning leaking like this. Like I said I’ve had other Kawecos so I was so surprised to have this happen.

USED PEN!!!@!

I usually don't like to write these type of reviews. This is a beautiful pen don't get me wrong. This was the only kaweco brass piece I needed for my collection. What I must say is that the presentation was appalling. It came in a zip lock bag and low and behold....open up the pen to find a USED UP INK CARTRIDGE. The idea of an empty cartridge did not bother me because I didn't plan to use it anyway. What it DID tell me is that what I received was indeed a USED PEN.. And not NEW like the label on the bag stated. As I said before, I have quite a collection of Kaweco brass writing utensils and NEVER had they arrived in this condition. It took some time to flush the blue ink out of my "NEW" fountain pen. Totally disappointed in this one.
