It's a fanny pack that somehow avoids [most of] the uncoolness associated with fanny packs. The plastic buckle feels very secure and it's a nice small, low-profile size. I just wish it had some better theft prevention measures since I wear it while travelling.

I love the sleekness and sturdiness and the clip.
My Dakine hip pack had a clip inside to hook keys etc to, which I rely on since I use my hip pack outdoors and don’t es t to lose keys or my wallet.
I have a small wallet with a clip I hook inside the pocket of the Dakine hip pack.
This one lacks any sort of clip.
I almost can’t zip it with my iPhone, small set of keys, EarPod case and tiny wallet. I will keep it but will order another by dakine for hiking and outdoors and keep this one to throw in my backpack.

I really like this little bag - I'd say it's about 1L in size. I'm a mom of two little kids, one in diapers, and I used to be cool and do stuff outside. I was sick of lugging the giant diaper bag and I pretty much need BOTH hands free at all times! I think the two zipper pockets are about the right level of organization for a bag this size. The wide webbing belt is comfortable and there's some padding on the back of the bag where it's against your body. The belt is also sufficiently adjustable such that my 4-year-old can wear it around his hips, I can wear it around my hips or over my shoulder too. I'm a pretty small person at 5'3" and around 110 lbs, and I feel like the pack looks proportionate on me. It actually is helps form a nice little seat for my 1yo on my hip.

Here's what I'm fitting in mine:
One size 3 diaper, "travel size" pack of wipes, 2-ounce tube of sunscreen, smart phone in a slim case, baby nail clippers, one car key, one bike key, one house key, cash, ID, and one credit card. I could maybe cram one teeny protein bar or something in addition.

I kind of wish it were a tad larger, but my purpose was to pare down. I do love the different designs. I'm tempted to get another just because they're cute, but then that wouldn't be minimalist would it?

Pairs Well With Baby Carriers

I ordered this bag in the Fairy Trail pattern because I also have the rope sling bag in the same pattern so I knew I liked the print and what to expect of it. I also specifically was in the market for a waist pack like this to wear while carrying my kiddo in a baby carrier. This is comparable in size (according to the dimensions listed) to waist packs and accessory bags available on some baby carrier brand name websites or as baby carrier attachments. I didn’t really want a bag that attached to my baby carrier because I switch baby carriers sometimes (pictured here in a Baby K’tan, so no attachment points like with a structured carrier - also sorry she’s not sitting in a perfect M, she just finished pitching a fit fighting sleep and I adjusted her seat after the photo). I also am relatively petite (5’4” 130lbs) and have little free space on the waist of my baby carriers once I adjust them small enough on me so I needed something unattached. I really just needed something small that I could carry my phone, wallet, and keys in when I take her with me to the grocery store and don’t want to carry a whole diaper bag for just those few things. I think I will get a lot of good use out of this and I expect good things as far as quality based on past experience with the Kavu brand. I will update if I find an issue.

Very functional, nice quality. I use it as a cross body bag. Pattern matched most outfits. Wish it was slightly bigger width wise.
