Loose threads, after less than 6 months

FIrst, it too well over a month to get it. The seller was responsive when I went to cancel the order, but it still took way longer than anticipated.

Second, it deteriorates quickly. I have had this comforter since July 2016. I am single, and am the only living creature that uses this comforter. It is already covered in loose threads. I'm at a loss to explain it, I keep my nails short, I don't sleep with knives or scissors in my bed.

It's unfortunate because my last comforter was a $30 Target find, and it lasted me 7 years. It survived three cats with claws, four romantic relationships, even a drunk friend spilling wine on it! It finally bit it after a (different, sober) friend accidentally got India ink all over it and I couldn't get it out.

Now I'm using a comforter that couldn't make it a year before falling apart. Will definitely not be buying this again.

I was really looking forward to receiving this comforter! I saw pretty good reviews. The packaging was fine, normal. The thing that I didn't like is that the blanket itself is so short on the sides. I have a queen and ordered a King comforter so that the sides would be close to the floor like on the picture but it is suuuuper short. Even on my queen. I can't imagine how bad it would have looked had I ordered an actual queen. The picture is definitely misleading because it does not look like that at all. I would return it but I have already washed and used it. The comforter it self is soft and light, quality is good. I'm just really sad about how awkward it looks on my bed.

King size Mint color on Queen size bed

Price was affordable and color was what I was looking for so I took the leap. It arrived today and was not quite what I was hoping but will work. Color for the Mint is quite a bit lighter in real life but still a similar tone that works for me. The big let down is they call it "down alternative" which is pretty deceiving. It is a lightweight cotton filled blanket with an outer layer that is pretty thin that I'm worried about it standing up to washing over time. Have another down alternative comforter that is quite a bit heavier and fluffier and is going strong after 8 years so was hoping it would be closer to that quality.

This is a great comforter for the money. It is not heavy but very warm, doesn't make me sweat and I am a hot sleeper. It is extremely soft. Feels well made. It is made a little small. I read in the comments to order a size up. The king size fits my queen bed very nice. I would buy again.

I'm super disappointed that I didn't receive the same comforter pictured, or that other reviewers describe. I ordered the solid beige but received a beige striped comforter. Thinking it was a mistake, I sent it back and asked the correct one to be resent. I got a beige striped comforter again, not a solid beige like is pictured. So, FYI, some of these colors are not as pictured or described.
