Product: These are very nicely made and, with 4 samples to look at, the manufacturing is consistent. All the handles and spatulas are precise. The edges are surprising sharp. I made a grilled cheese using artisan bread, so it wasn't the thin, full of air bread; this bread had substance. I used the spatula to cut my sandwich in half, and it did a terrific job-much better than expected. The next morning, I used the slotted one to make over-easy eggs and there wasn't any drag. The spatula flipped the eggs over without sticking and breaking the yolk.
I highly recommend both the product and the company.
Oh, they clean up well, too. Food doesn't seem to "stick" to them. I mean, it does, like when the spatula, for instance, gets some potato/onion/oil buildup at the edge, just stick it under running water and it sloughs right off. Easy peasy.
I bought this specifically to use in a cast iron wok as it's the perfect size and came recommended.
About two months ago as I was eating a gong bao chicken I discovered a chunk of wood in my mouth.
It had broken off this Bamber Spatula unbeknownst to me during the stir-frying of the chicken.
I took a good look at the spatula and nothing else seemed to be falling off, so cleaned it and have used it since.
Last night another chunk of wood showed up in my broccoli and ginger dish.
I've not abused this Bamber Spatula at all, have not left it to soak, just wash with a brush and hot water and drain, then even apply a light coat of walnut oil, as I do to my wooden utensils.
It's just not made well at all, to be casting off big chunks of splintery wood after only two years and it's not even used that often, three times a month, sometimes four. What gives?
