Not as good as regular thermals as a base layer for cold-weather running2015年1月16日 - 已在美国亚马逊上发表
I love the Walleroo 170 boxers as a base below thermals and Sports Hill pants to block the wind on my bottom half. So, I thought I would try the long sleeve-t as a base layer on top. I'm about 5'11, about 160 pounds, running 2-3 8-minute miles using Icebugs to run on snow and ice. I've been successful keeping comfortable with a base layer of UnderArmour thermals and a fleece zip-up on top. I thought I would try the walleroo 170 as an alternative to the thermals as a base layer on top. I ran with the Under Armour thermals a few days before I got the Walleroos in about 6 degree Fahrenheit weather (with no windchill) and it was fine. I tried the walleroos today in about 18 degree weather. Although there wasn't much wind, the weather service is listing the wind chill as about 6 degrees. The walleroo was not as good at keeping me warm as the Under Armour thermals. It may be that the under armours provide modest wind protection beneath a layer of fleece as they have more bulk. It's also possible the walleroos are just a bit more clammy and don't hold in the body heat as well. I wasn't feeling cold. The walleroos aren't bad and they may great for other people doing other activities in different conditions. But for a guy using them in severe cold for modest-running, they aren't as good as basic thermals.
A bit much but quality always is...2015年10月7日 - 已在美国亚马逊上发表
A little expensive side but it's been holding up very well and is perfect for hiking and walking on those chilly days.
