I'm not old, I'm only in my 30's. But I have back trouble... then again, maybe anybody would if they had gardens like I do. Anyway, for the price, I wasn't expecting much. But I am so happy with this seat! It's light, it's strong, comfortable enough... perfect for me.

You have to have some common sense, it's not meant to stay outside, that's why it folds, so you can store it. But used properly, it is very sturdy. I am 6'1" and about 170lbs. It could probably hold twice my weight, although I'm not going to try it!

some reviewers complained that the cushion was too hard. It's not soft or gel like, but it's not uncomfortable either. I think it is as soft as it could be and still be durable. My knees were thankful for it.

I also saw complaints that they didn't receive the one pictured. Mine was exactly like the picture.

So I'm very happy with this so far! I've had it a few months. If anything comes up, I will edit this review, but so far I can't think of anything I'd change with this seat.

Handy seat not just for garden work!

This versatile item is a definite asset for anyone who has difficulty kneeling or sitting on the ground/floor for all kinds of tasks, not just gardening. I have knee 'issues' which prevent me from easily sitting on the ground or getting up from a kneeling position without assistance. This seat is a great height, and the kneeler accommodates me for easy rising since the legs are 'handles' for support as you stand up. It provides a seat too, even for those projects at ground level. It's light to carry from one task to another, and folds up for convenient storage. We had a similar seat/kneeler but whenever I needed it, my spouse was using it in a different part of the house or yard -- I was so relieved to find this great product and now each of us has our own! Problem solved! I definitely recommend this item for anyone looking for ways to continue doing those house & garden tasks even though we're a bit less-mobile than we used to be.

I thought I was ordering the Garden Kneeler as from the picture (ten dollars or so) that is what it looked like...much to my surprise my daughter, when receiving it for her birthday called to tell me the gift had arrived. "Wonderful"....and have you tried both sitting and kneeling on it I inquired. Silence on her end of the phone. I explained that I most likely ruined the surprise because I didn't take the offer to have ig shipped in a plain box. Hmmm, she must have been thinking and then she spoke..."It came in an envelope!" Hmmm, I thought back..."How could that be?" The light dawned...I had ordered (at the marvelous price) only a carrier attachment for tools which could accompany the "Garden Kneeler." So I retraced my steps...ordered the right gift and now she is kneeling happily OR sitting in comfort and she LOVES it! Maybe further explanation is needed at the ordering site BUT all is well and thank you.

Getting older...need a little assistance getting up after working in my very large garden. This item is very comfortable to kneel on and gives the added bonus of giving support when getting up. Also can flip it over and sit down to rest the old bones! I'd recommend it to anyone with knee/joint problems who loves to work outside in their garden.
