Trashed them today, could not even use them for little items like paper clips and thumb tacks. Sorry.
We have used the plastic tube trays for many years but found ourselfs breaking them to easily. My wife went on Amazon and found these and what better then Silicone to not have ice cubes stick? Well on paper it sounds good but these are MUCH harder to remove then plastic trays where you give a simple twist to remove. I am 30 years old and an auto technician so I am used to dealing with stubern things that don't want to be removed but for something as simple as removing ice from a tray this is a PAIN. It takes a good solid 1-2 minutes to empty this into our ice bin where a plastic tray would only be a few seconds . The ice expands and so does the Silicone so instead of the ice just moving the water level up as it freezes it also goes sideways as the silicone expands causing the silicone to kinda wrap around the ice holding it in place, so even when you get the ice half way out you still have to pull the cube, there is no simple method to removing the ice. Don't get me wrong it is not hard but just takes some time, more time then it should take to get ice in my opinion. My wife lets the ice sit out on the counter for 5 minutes and she says it makes it easier to remove BUT then you have slightly watery ice that sticks to each other when you put them in your ice bin. Hope this helps someone, for the price I would stick with regular ones and replace them as needed!
I don't go for the fancy levels of ice by using purified water and trying to get ultra clear cubes but I was surprised with how nice they look with just tap water.
The cubs are easy enough to get out of the tray, it takes a little effort initially before you figure out a good system. I like that you don't have to feel like you need to be gentle with the tray or feel like it is going to break.
