商品描述
Add up to 4 devices quickly and easily with the Sabrent 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub. The thin, lightweight design makes this hub a great travel companion to expand one USB 3.0 port into four. Especially great for notebooks which come with only a few ports in an era when you need to attach many USB devices at once, such as a printer, card reader, cell phone, iPod, thumb drive, mouse, keyboard, or an external hard drive. Fully backwards compatible with the USB 2.0/1.1 products. Plus, each port has its own separate power switch so you can control each port independently.
Expand your high speed USB 3.0 ports
Technology seems to advance at ever increasing speeds. With the recent release of Super-Speed USB 3.0, you can now transfer data at up to 10 times the speeds of the older USB 2.0 standards! Speeds of 5Gbps are a vast improvement over USB 2.0 that only supports up to 480Mbps. The Sabrent USB 3.0 Hub is a great tool to expand a single USB 3.0 port into 4 ports, so now you can connect all of your USB devices at one time. Plus, its small and elegant design has been configured to be as thin as possible so as to not take up precious space as you travel. Yet, it is still backward compatible with your older devices, so you can still use it in conjunction with USB 2.0 devices.
System Requirements:
* Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7/8/8.1/10
* Mac OS X
Please Note:
2.4Ghz wireless devices, such as wireless keyboard and mouse adapters, may not work in close proximity to USB 3.0 devices or hubs. Connecting to a USB 2.0 port is recommended.
For a stable connection, the devices connected to the 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub must not exceed a combined current of 5 volts 900 mAh.
This 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub will not charge an iPad (it will only sync).

I was not disappointed in my HB-UMP3. My only negative about the HB-UMP3 are the Individual Power Switches and LEDs. I feel like this is an unnecessary feature adding another breaking point to the unit. I would have preferred the USB ports on the switch all be active, but can also appreciate the ability to disable if that helps give power to the active USB ports.
This HB-UMP3 has worked perfectly for me and my needs UNTIL it quit working in April, 2017. I could not readily identify the warranty, so I logged a tech support ticket on the Sabrent website on April 30, 2017. They asked for a copy of the PO, which was easy to supply since I purchased it through Amazon. After supplying the PO I received a replacement unit at no charge to me within days.
I would have given this unit 5 stars had it not stopped working one year and 2 months after the original purchase. I can give the Sabrent tech support team 5 stars for the quick and easy customer service to provide me a replacement unit and standing behind their product.

6 months after I got it, one of my external drives started to make an odd clicking noise. If I unplugged the drive and plugged it back in, it would go away for a while. I plugged the hub into my laptop for a day and the same thing happened. My thought was that this drive was going bad. I had another drive also hooked up to the hub that wasn't having any issues. So I bought a new drive. Swapping 3TB of info between drives took over a day and my laptop was pretty much unusable during that time. What does this have to do with the hub? Fast forward another 6 months ...
I started hearing the clicking again. I had actually plugged the other drive in a week prior as I accidentally deleted something off the new drive that I needed. No big deal. I unplug the old drive. Clicking noise continued. It was the new drive. Plugged into a different port than the old one used to be. I couldn't believe my bad luck. I plugged the hub into my laptop again and after a few hours got the same thing, and I couldn't even access the drive anymore. On a whim I unplugged the hub and plugged the drive directly into the laptop hoping maybe I didn't lose all my data. And then ... no issues. For over a week. No clicking. No need to transfer anything.
In essence, the hub itself was slowly dying. Cost me the better part of 2 days and a $120 drive. I bought a different 7 port powered hub, without switches. Different brand. I've had no issues with the old drive or the new drive for several months. I don't know if the switches cause the issue, or if it's the brand. Sure, I have an extra drive that's perfectly fine now, but that was 2 days of my life that I'll never get back.

- The sockets needed to be "switched on" for the webcam to be noticed by the laptop. I have no idea why, if I didn't want it switched on why would I have it plugged in?
- The push buttons have bright blue lights on them
- This was supposed to be in my pre-teen daughter's bedroom. So, if anything goes wrong with the keyboard not working, or the web cam disappearing, she has another complication to check (the switches on something that's likely fallen behind the desk), AND during the night she has blue light flooding her room. Some theories - and I'm inclined to agree with them - posit that the sudden and unnecessary switch to blue LEDs are part of what's causing so many sleeping problems these days.
I replaced it with another USB hub, and decided it might be useful for my Raspberry Pi. And it seemed to work, until I rebooted the hub with it plugged in and it wouldn't start up. When I tried plugging it in after it started up but before the OS had finished loading, the OS complained the hub didn't work and wouldn't get any further.
So... may not work on your hardware. Gaudy blue lights. Unnecessary switches that are just another thing to go wrong. Why does this product even exist?
