Helen is such a sweetheart, and so strong. It is heart-wrenching to see how her opinion is overlooked, her destiny decided by everyone but herself. Luckily I know she will take matters in her own hands in the next book. I will have to keep going and reread (once more) Marrying Winterborne.
I’ve decided to reread the first books in the series before reading Hello Stranger and I loved this book as much as I did the first time I read it.
Devon is so rakish and set in his ways and I love how Kathleen stands her ground and puts him in his place. I also enjoy the fact that Devon and his brother West grow as human beings during the book and flourish to be respectable and admirable men.
Winterbourne makes his first appearance and is as mysterious and rough as he can be, but I could not help but to hope he and Helen will find some common ground.
