Ideal for machine and vehicle repairs, the TEKTON 7/32 inch Roll Pin Punch smoothly drives out or inserts hollow pins or springs without deforming them. The guide ball tip self centers for perfect alignment in pin, keeping the drive shoulder in full, even contact with pin wall to prevent slipping or damage. Precisely machined to a reverse taper, the tip is just a bit wider than the rest of the shaft. This eliminates the possibility of it sticking in the pin hole. Made from premium, high carbon steel, each punch is individually heat treated creating a strong, hardened tip while keeping the soft temper of the striking end, allowing it to absorb hammer blows without chipping. Made in USA.
Self-Centering Guide Ball Tip
Specially designed for hollow pins and springs, the precisely machined, self-centering guide ball tip keeps the drive shoulder in full, even contact with the pin wall, preventing the tip from slipping or deforming the wall.
A reverse taper ensures that the tip is slightly wider than the rest of the shaft, eliminating the possibility of it sticking in the pin hole.
Made from premium, high carbon steel, each punch is individually heat treated to harden and strengthen the tip while maintaining the soft temper of the striking end so it can absorb hammer blows without chipping.

That said, I was able to remove the pin and replace the pin, keeping the pin from mushrooming (which is one of the main reasons for why you use a roll pin punch in the first place, along with the fact that it remains squarely on the pin) in the process, so for the cost, it was worth it for a one-time-use scenario (better than having to wait for and pay a gunsmith in my book). I'd just say don't expect it to last much further than a few uses, even when employed correctly.
Con: it is made out of a soft metal, and was pretty much single use
I was using it to drive out and then replace two soft roll pins. They needed a little "motivation" from a hammer. in so doing, the punch started to bend heavily, and is now just about unusable. I was able to get both out, and back in, so it worked this one time.
----------------- Update 9 April 2016 -----------------
After I originally put this review here, I got a response from Tekton. Their rep said that using a rubber mallet may have been what caused the pin to bend. Surprisingly, their rep offered to replace the pin. Because of their willingness to stand by their product and even offer a replacement, I bumped this pin up to five stars.
