This is an apologia for the British behavior during the Boer War, written by the famous Arthur Conan Doyle.
It's certainly interesting to read the thoughts of someone who actually spent time on the scene, and he spends a great deal of effort of quoting eyewitnesses.

A part of history well worth your time, and not too long.
