Ok. yes so basically this the same function as the older version of this camera. There's no difference except for the new button layout. For say the 40 dollar difference between this and the older version you get:
A: The actual aiming reticle is way better now and a huge improvement. Its really clear where your pictures are going to fall on the frame. B: Lets be honest this camera just looks way better. It looks way more like that retro camera you want a drunken friend parties rather that the kinda clunky fat design of the older model.
If you wanna save money and have really great aim. Get the old version. I've had that for two years and it was great. I gave that camera to a friend and she loves it. For 40 more you get a nice looking modern ish looking camera that gives you the same photos you'd expect from a "hipster cam" like this.
The real reason why these cameras is so worth it isn't the picture quality (get a nice fat mega pixel cam or DLSR). The reason for paying 60-70 cents a shot is because there's nothing like being able to take a picture and instantly get a tangible, givable, editable with sharpies, spill beer on this, regret everything later pictures that you can instantly give to yourself and your friends. Also you will be so popular at parties. Seriously, trade beer for pictures it'll help offset the costs.
This was one of the really good purchases I've made on here! This camera is exactly what I was looking for! Having used the older polaroid cameras as a kid I was always a fan of it. You do have to know the capability and limitations of such a device before you buy one and complain about the clarity/ lighting. I bought it because I was in the market looking for a Polaroid camera snapping the original bigger size polaroid film and not the recent small size one. The reviews and a few visits to the stores nearby had me sold on this camera. I was not disappointed! It is a beautiful piece, does exactly what it says and the only drawback I could say is the size and the macro/ close up lens. I am not a fan of the close up lens and mostly shoot without it. The pictures have been turning out great (the darker/lighter setting is a +).
not the best build quality - this is my 2nd one - but so much fun and a definite must have in the gear bag. i will treat it with a little more care this time around. the first one broke when it was packed in my camera bag and i accidentally flipped the power switch on (very easy to do). the lens extends when the power goes on but since it was packed in my bag the lens had nowhere to go which mr. fuji did not like. something broke inside. now when i put it in my camera bag i make sure to take a battery out so i can't accidentally turn it on.
The camera is great and I love the instant pic size in the wide format. My problem was that the lens got stuck and would not retract back into the camera after only using it for about 2 weeks. By the time I got the camera back home that day the top of the lens had fallen off. Luckily I had purchased a third party warranty plan through Amazon and they are refunding my money. It's worth it for me to give it another try with a new camera, but I will definitely make sure a warranty is in place since the camera does not seem that sturdy.

I've been wanting to get the instax wide 210 for several years now but never did because of finance, upkeep, shipping cost & its size.
So the new one came out and the shipping was not bad, I wanted it for my wedding so I thought hey lets do this! In total I paid about $115 shipping to Australia included. Shipping was quick too! Only took less than a week to arrive.
The camera is bigger than your standard camera, I would say it's almost like a dslr. I love the photos that comes out of it, picture looks good. The camera design is definitely an improvement from the bulky 210.
