Protec’ lightweight value music stands are made of strong and durable steel and have features typically found on more expensive stands. Features 3 telescoping sections with quick-adjusting speed knobs, an adjustable desk that can be tilted to your angle preference, adjustable sheet music arms, and a carry bag made of tough nylon and features an adjustable shoulder sling. There are 2 desk types to choose from: the Standard desk easily opens and closes with one fold, the European desk butterflies open to create a rectangular desk shape.

When you open it up after storing it away, the top pieces get stuck and intertwined with each other.
The two metal arms that are supposed to hold the music will only work with a thick book because they are on the front of the ledge and therefore do not hold the sheetmusic against that pain in the neck back section. Someone walks by or you move and a thin book or your sheet music pages fall to the floor.
I would not recommend this stand unless your music is a thick book, but I am not sure the little arms that swing up would be strong enough to hold the pages open.
Sometimes weight is such major concern that one is prepared to accept compromises (not for outdoor use because it will easily bow over; not able to hold heavy materials,...) In that case, the lightest stand I've found is Crafty Gizmos Black Adjustable Folding Music Stand with Carrying Bag. At 1.7 lbs it saves almost a half pound! It's more than adequate to support a tablet, but it only comes in black. Otherwise I'd have gotten another one of those.
