If you are looking for the audio and handout downloads that are promised in the book, you may be out of luck. Now that I've highlighted throughout the book after reading it, expecting to next get the meditation downloads, the link no longer exists. So returning the book is out of the question. If anyone has the downloads, I would be grateful to get the links for them.
I've been reading a great deal in the mindfulness arena and I found this book to have some unique tips and methods that could prove helpful. Overall I would have rated it a 3 or higher once I was able to hear and then practice the audio meditation content and fully digest the entire book and its contents. Having the full size handouts for filling out would have been better than photocopying the smaller size examples in the book as well.
Buyer be warned, you are not getting all that is advertised in the quite expensive price you pay for this book as the download link for the full size handouts and the audio meditation is dead. I am emailing the author to see if I can get the downloads. I will make an update and adjust my rating based on the outcome.

Grounded in current knowledge about bipolar disorder and its treatment, this book presents an empirically supported therapy program with step-by-step guidelines for implementation. Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) for bipolar disorder is specifically designed for clients who have experienced many mood episodes and who struggle with chronic, pervasive depressive and residual manic symptoms. The authors provide everything needed to conduct the 12 weekly group sessions, which are supplemented by regular individual sessions. Reproducible tools include 29 client handouts and an Instructor Checklist. Purchasers get access to a companion website featuring downloadable audio recordings of the guided mindfulness practices (meditations and mindful movement), plus the reproducible materials, ready to download and print in a convenient 8 1/2" x 11" size. A separate website for use by clients features the audio recordings only.

Fantastic. As a former clinician (until my own dx BP 1), now working in academia, I can say unequivocally that this is the best book I’ve purchased in decades. It’s written for clinicians, has references, etc. it’s also humanitarian—I didn’t find it heartless, condescending or cold (as can happen with clinical publications whether in journal articles or books. I think the reader needs some familiarity with the DSM and especially CBT. This book’s authors are at least as thorough with their description of Bipolar as they are, specifically with the treatment of MBCT. The book is exhaustive in its treatment techniques and plans. As I said, it’s written for clinicians. In any case, I’ve noticed that “mindfullness” is thrown about by gurus and “life coaches” and Hollywood celebrities and their therapists, but in Mindfulness-Based-Cognitive-Therapy, we find a comphensive approach that is PATIENT centered. I bought copies for myself and my psychiatrist. I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in the treatment of Bipolar Disorder.

Bravo! This book is an absolute must have for anyone who treats individuals with bipolar disorder.
The authors, expert clinicians and researchers in the treatment of bipolar disorder, offer a thoughtful new approach to psychotherapy for this complex and difficult to treat condition. They guide the reader through the theory of mindfulness-based approaches in an elegant and reader-friendly manner, and offer crystal-clear instructions for applying mindfulness-based techniques to some of the unique challenges of bipolar disorder.
In addition to containing practical tools for clinicians to initiate mindfulness-based treatment (worksheets, meditation recordings), it can be read and understood by patients and their families who want to learn about novel treatments that address some key challenges of bipolar disorder. A very HIGHLY recommended read.

The authors, a world-renowned group of experts on neurocognitive processes and treatments for bipolar disorder, have developed this sophisticated new treatment based on years of experience to suit the special issues that patients with bipolar disorder often face.
Easy to read and full of tools for clinicians and patients alike, the book is an excellent guide to understanding and implementing this new and promising approach to treating bipolar disorder. Highly recommended!
