This book was one of two by these authors recommended to me by my mentor. I've been in practice for many years, but the concept of attunement and intersubjectivity was new. As I was reading this book, the material was put to use right away. It adds to developmental theory in a nice manner and is written in an accessible style. I am recommending it to my own interns and students who are interested in developmental dynamic theory.
I loved the clear and thoughtful presentation of the inter subjective psychoanalytic theory as applied to practice. The case studies were particularly helpful in making sense of the theory/model.
