I've had this stapler for about 3 years now - with relatively heavy daily use. The stapler functioned well for most of its life, but recently had begun failing to close staples all the way. It turns out the pins which the arms use to lever down the top of the stapler have been worn through by the lever arms themselves... Nearly half the diameter of the pin is simply gone, worn away with friction from tens of thousands of uses. I rotated the pins with a pair of pliers and have regained the tight staple profile this stapler had in its youth, at least until I wear through the other side of the pins and the stapler dies for good.
9/10 - would experience this impending tragic loss again. If possible on future designs, please consider how to reduce friction between the lever arms and the pins.
