I'll admit I enjoy buying style books. I don't actually need a lot of help styling myself, but reading about fashion and style is a fun pastime for me. I read style books like other women read "chick lit" (which I can't stand) - think beach/vacation reading.

In that vein, reading Rachel Zoe's book was a great escape. Beautiful photos, fun commentary and, actually, a couple of really good ideas. I loved the section on clothing, shoe and jewelry storage. And I didn't expect the book to address interior decorating, so that was an unexpected treat. (Modernism isn't my personal style, but it was really interesting to learn a little about the subject.) At $10 and change through amazon, this book is a bargain. It didn't change my life, but it was fun to flip through in the bathtub!

I will admit that there are some tidbits of good advice in this book. However, the useful tips are mixed in with random tips based on Ms. Zoe's personal preferences. And even that is buried in a lot of discussion about what it means to live glamorously and how glamorous Ms. Zoe's life is and names of all the celebrities she works with and all of the places she's been. She does state several times that you don't have to have a lot of money to be able to have style and live glamorously, but that claim alone is not any help. If you'd like to know more about Ms. Zoe's own lifestyle, this is a great book. However, if you have ever wished you had a team of stylists like celebrities do to help you look your best, this doesn't come close to helping you become your own stylist. Yes, I should have been warned by the fact that the author's name is in the title - I just figured there are only so many titles style books can have, and this was clever. Really, it's just a clue that it's about Rachel Zoe's life and personal style, nothing more.

Arrived on time and in good condition. Book is okay. I am a fan of the show and the book is not "banana's".....I like to scan it every once in a while. I bought another one of her books as well. Funny I forgot the same and cant remember whats in it....haaa...Guess the book is not that great, but I enjoyed the pictures.

I really do like The Little Black Book of Style from Nina Garcia book with tips, tricks classic items every woman should own......nice to scan every once in a while for a refresher.

I love watching her show ... and no I don't love her - it would hard to miss the over the top obsession with so much of what doesn't matter. But it is impossible to deny she has a keen eye and great sense of fashion. I bought the book for the insight into what pieces are necessary for great looks and "how to" put together the "Zoe" style. There is some useful information but too much of the book is a an infomercial. Too much to pay for what it is and it isn't what it claims to be.
