After reading a review about having bubbles between the lense and the housing, I read another review about placing the red lense on underwater, and the lense worked! Went snorkeling at the same spot, once without the red filter, and once with it, and you can tell the difference! But the only issue, and the only reason I gave it 3 stars, the skew driver got stripped really fast. After just one use!!!! In mexico, no one had another skew driver small enough to tighten my adapter so my 2 attempt to use it, we'll I didn't use it for the second time and I was very upset because we paid to snorkel at a island just to get footage. Very upsetting. If you plan on getting this filter, look into receiving another skrewdriver or you're S.O.L. I would appreciate it as well if photodiox would send me another, more durable, skrewdriver. ... also I'm sad to read a customer received 2 screwdrivers while I only received one...could've saved my 2nd trip...

When installing the housing adapter the product came with two screw drivers to remove the screws from the gopro housing, both of them stripped out on me after about 3-4 screws leaving me to run around town trying to find a screwdriver small enough to fit. After I found an appropriate driver the original housing came off and the new unit when on easy. I had hesitations on the blue water filter looking a little to pink rather then red, and my fears came true. I dive a lot in Grand Cayman and the filter didn't correct much of anything. If I could do it over again I would spend the extra money and go to snake river prototyping or a switchblade. If fotodiox supplied this with a red housing suitable for depths of 20-50' then this product easily gotten a 4.5 or a 5 star but right now it is stuck with a 2.

This filter system works OK, but it gets air in between filter and the camera, so you end up with bubbles in the video. I presume you could take it off once underwater and put it back on, but its impractical for me since I wear it on my mask.

works great!! perfect quality images every time. works best when you place filter on once your underwater, that way there will be no air pockets. your recordings and pictures look fantastic.
