Morgan and his partner, Dell Hassler, begin to peel away the layers of deceit and deception surrounding DeSilva's life, one name keeps cropping up at every turn: Marissa, the widowed bride, a woman with a shadowy past, whose face has haunted Shark since he first saw it filling his television screen on the local evening news. Is she simply another unfortunate victim, or is the violence that seems to be following in her wake more than just coincidence?

Disappointing!2017年8月23日 - 已在美国亚马逊上发表
Terrible ending! Every time I thought something was going to happen to help unravel the murder, it didn't and went on to something totally unrelated. I was really liking the book always thinking the cliffhanger was coming, but it never did, except at the very end which confirmed the terrible ending. It's really frustrating when you keep thinking at any second the story will redeem itself, but This one never does!

Until the very end, you are hoping to find a connection between the murder of Marcos DeSilva & Marissa DeSilva - but the ultimate scam surprised everyone. A great story that takes you on a rollercoaster ride involving those you least expect! Praise for detectives Shark and Dell whose professional relationship carries a tremendous personal burden but ultimately their collaboration provides closure - or does it?

A friend picked this book out for me when I asked for something fun to read on the weekend. I really enjoyed it. Shark and Dell are a great combo in this who done it page turner. It was a nice foray into the murder mystery world. I will be coming back for more.

This book moved right along with some twists here and there. I enjoyed the detective characters and their relationships. But the book didn't seem to be finished as it left you wondering if the bad people would ever get caught.
