If you've ever tried a Ross style compressor like the MXR Dyna Comp, you know that squishy feeling it has: chickin' pickin' on a telecaster or funky 70's Strat vibes.
This is not that. It is an optical style compressor that lets all the transients through. It makes quiet parts louder and loud parts quieter without doing anything else to your tone. Running at the very front of the signal chain, I find it to be very quiet when powered through a TrueTone CS7.
