Before the Hydrorail we had a seperate shower head and hand-held spray, with a diverter attached to the shower head stem. The hydrorail is nice because it has the diverter valve built in and looks a lot more refined than the diverter by the shower head. The diverter is smooth and easy to turn. There's an adjustable holder for hand-held spray heads that moves up and down, and twists so you can put the hand-held on the left or right.

The connection for the shower head is about 8" above where the shower head fitting is in the wall. This means the water will come more from above, which may be a bonus for taller people.

The hose outlet for the hand-held is at an angle, so it smartly forces the hose to go around the water control valve. Not that the Hydrorail comes in two sizes, indicated by the title "Bath and Shower" versus just "Shower".

Drilling the holes into my porcelain tile was the hardest part. You will need a diamond tip bit for that.

Great product that fills a niche for people who want a more refined way to combine their shower head and hand-held spray wand.
