Think of this book like a college seminar course

This book is really short. Lets just put that out there. Sixty pages couldn't possibly do justice to Excel VBA programming. However, think of this book as a 1hr college seminar course and it seems to do the job surprisingly. Just barely enough to get you off the ground and into the VBE. The veil of possibilities is fluttered gently and ever so briefly to lure you in. Great for beginners but if you're looking to learn find something with more substance & pages than this. As purely an exercise to introduce the topic it gets the job done.

I was invited to review a book entitled "Excel Programming with VBA Starter" by Robert Martin.
This concise 60 page book is an excellent way for people to approach Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) within the Context of Microsoft Excel.
I am happy that I took the time to become acquainted with this book. The text is well thought out which makes the book interesting and easy to read.
The author takes you through an overview of the core concepts that make VBA what it is.
All the key points are demonstrated with code examples. These examples are set for Excel 2010.
I would recommend this book to anyone who would like to become more productive and proficient in their use of Excel by making use of VBA which greatly expands the functionality of Excel.

Quick, but helpful read for VBA users at any level

This book does an impressive job of covering a tremendous amount of ground in just 60 pages. If you're brand-new to VBA, this is an ideal second book for you have on your shelf, as other books will ease you into programming in a slower fashion. Regardless, even experienced programmers will learn some new tricks and techniques in this well-written book, and the fast-paced nature will fill in some gaps for new programmers.
