Small, almost indestructible, and (apparenty) ugly

I wanted a bunch of small cups for my kids. These are perfect. They hold a perfect drinking portion for a preschooler. Plus, I can have matching cups without cartoon characters on them.

I've had them for months. They have not been well taken care of. A few have tiny cracks, but none of them leak.

My wife hates them. They are ugly. She got quite mad at me when I bought them. I was expecting her to say, "Thank you, honey, for being assertive and buying needed cups for our family." Nope. Apparently, I was trying to make her kitchen look like an old Pizza Hut.

Oh well, they were cheap and work well. My wife probably would have gotten mad no matter what I bought.

I bought 4 different brand of clear tumblers, Chefland, New Star, Winco, and Updated Intentional. Of all 4 brands, Chefland is a winner with the thickest wall and the heavies material per cup. New Star is the most flimsy and light one. Of course, Chefland is the most expensive and New Star being the cheapest. Haven't used them much and will see how long they will last.

Beware of manufacturing defects

I purchased these to use at parties instead of disposable cups. They are exactly what I wanted and I was really excited to receive them. Perhaps too excited. I didn't notice until I'd run them through the dishwasher and thrown away the packaging that two of the 12 cups had a significant manufacturing defect. There's a big notch out of the rim of the cup. Really weird. It's not broken, it obviously came out of the mold that way. You can see what I'm talking about in the picture but basically I can't use the defective cups for partyware.

I'm reviewing the overall product at three stars because 5/6 of the cups are perfectly usable and exactly what I wanted at a great price. However, I'm really disappointed that such a simple product shipped with serious defects. My goal in purchasing was to reduce waste and I hate that these will likely end up in the trash. I might consider trying to return sans packaging but I really need something for an upcoming party and don't want to send back the ones I can use.

For starters, they are not restaurant quality nor commercial quality. I thought I was getting cups similar to what I see at a pizza parlor or any typical casual restaurant - but this product is not it. They are lightweight and of very poor quality - the slightest drop or weight on them will cause them to crack. I would actually consider them to be disposable cups.

Cheap cups, and that is what I wanted, but these are like kindergarten portioned. Way smaller than the pic shows. If you look at it, it is drawn out quite a bit taller than the dimensions appear in the photo. Granted the size listing is accurate, if you buy this on impulse and do not carefully measure out how tall the dimensions listed are, you will be refilling a glass over and over again.
