It packs 8 car batteries for power and a big power supply to charge. The oem charger burnt out after 10 years and we couldn't use it. My mechanic replaced it and all the batteries but told me I had to buy a really have duty charge cable. He recommended an hdx one at home depot.. It was like 30 bux.. So I got this. Thing works perfect, doesn't even warm up like the old one did. It's also very maluble, which you'll appreciate if you need to contort the cord from time to time. Overall, worth the money and is exactly what it's marketed as.. A very heavy duty cable. It's about 2 times the weoght/thickness of the standard one you'd be used to on your printer or computers power supply
This is a heavy/thick power cord. Of course I didn't cut it in half to check the quality of the actual wires/connectors, but it is substantial, andfits perfectly.
One word of warning. The cord is 2' long, from tip to tip. So you really only have about 15-18" of usable cord. As long as that is all you need, you're good. My need was about 12" from outlet to socket, since I couldn't find a 1" cord, I went for 2", which turns out to have been the perfect choice. For these cords, it's best to measure the straight line distance from outlet to plug, and get a cord 1 foot longer than that. Not 100% perfect, of course, but it's MUCH better than the coiled up 12" cord I had sitting on the floor. Especially for the price/quality.
This product eliminated the need to carefully spool a bunch of excess power-cable into a roll and tie-wrap all that together in order to make it manageable and stay in place; Short cables can help eliminate a lot of excess cabling in a TV/stereo media canter.
