Update: I know it's been a long time but I wanted to put this bladder and it's O-Ringless design to the test. Well I can honestly say that I was able to minimize the leaking by tightening the cap to what I would consider to be over tightening. Unfortunately I was unable to completely get rid of the leak completely. The cap had to get tightened to the point that it became difficult to twist off again yet there was always a few drops of leakage. I love that the bladder is slick and never experienced any slime build up and that there was never any plasticy taste. Unfortunately I need a bladder that doesn't leak...period.
Update: Source Tactical reached to me and said that there is no O-ring on this design. They said they will ship me a replacement cap in hopes this rectifies the leaking problem. Once I get the new cap I will update this review with my findings until then I am boosting this to 2 stars because of their customer service.
Leaks like crazy. I kept trying to tighten the quick fill cap but no use, I noticed that there was no O-ring. I checked my old reservoirs and they all had a O-ring. So I contacted Source directly and yes they were quick to respond but the said the reservoir doesn't have or need one. I know I didn't cross thread it and I know I tightened as much as it could be. So how do you get two pieces of hard plastic to create a watertight seal?
