since i liked the look and feel of the socks, i decided to try the next size up, 6-8...they fit perfectly, just how crew socks should fit in my opinion...i looked at the naartjie website for sock sizing, and it does say 6-8 is for u.s. shoes size 8 & 9, but doesn't specify toddler...my son wears a 9...errr, so why are socks labeled so differently? which would somewhat explain amazon's erroneous labeling of 6-8 years (they should've done a bit more researching, though)...
if you're familiar with the circo brand crew socks from target, which are very thick, these are not...they are thinner, but just what i wanted...we don't get very cold weather here, so i like that the socks keep his feet warm without overheating them...i'd say these are good for warm summer days to cool fall days...
i haven't washed them yet, so we'll see how that goes...
***picture uploaded sideways for some reason...anyway, comparing the size 3-5 to size 6-8...size 6-8 fit perfectly for my 3 year old***
I like the colors and the thickness, but they are badly finished inside, I wanted to return them because my son was complaining about not being comfortable. But he is 4 and didn't want to see them go. He liked the orange ones a lot. Will see when winter comes. The 1st photo is the outside,on the 2nd photo you can see how big the sides are making them uncomfortable. My son is 4 and wears a 12 shoe size and I bought 6-8 they are perfect for him.
I have rheumatoid arthritis. My fingers are often stiff and sore. These are the only socks I've found that:
1) I could easily put on my kid while he was learning, and now (at age almost-4) he can very easily put on by himself
2) stay up and in place.
Every other brand I've tried has been either a challenge for one or the other of us to put on, or if easier, doesn't stay up or in place well.
Not too short and can't cover the heel and ankle, but not so long they are uncomfortable in warm weather.
Look no further these are the ones.
