There was no celebrating in Saddlerock when Dan Ruick returned home again. Many stories had been told about his six killings. Maybe he had only killed with cause, but the townfolk didn’t press their luck and steered clear of Dan’s gun. This time Dan had come back to find a killer, not be one. But a bounty hunter was already on his tracks, with orders to shoot on sight!

Not bad2018年11月14日 - 已在美国亚马逊上发表
This was my first Ray Hogan novel. It wasn't bad but it was a little cliched and the fact that he used a shotgun was a little gimmicky. I'll probably read another Ray Hogan novel in the future.

This is the second book I have read by Ray Hogan. He is starting to move up on my list of favorite authors. If the next couple are as good as the first two I read he will be close to the top. Looking for a first rate story, this is it. Great plot and great characters. This is the way western should be written. Some of the new authors should go back and take a long look at Ray Hogans work. They might learn something worth while.

I felt it was a good read. It had a plot that was easy to follow and the author kept the action moving. I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys westerns.
