Carefully read: This is for only one sawhorse

I bought a set of these brackets several years ago, packaged with four brackets to build two saw horses. I ordered them again, because, after several years, one of the plastic brackets broke (mostly from age--I'm satisfied with the durability). I decided to replace all the brackets.
I did not read the info carefully, my mistake: The order only includes two brackets. Enough for only one sawhorse.
I don't know about you, but most my work requires two sawhorses. Maybe a unicyclist can work on one sawhorse.

These exact brackets are offered by at least a couple sellers here. I chose this seller to take advantage of Amazon Prime next-day delivery. The brackets work fine. The packaging was fine. The brackets do not come with instructions, but as other reviewers have commented, if you need instructions to assemble a sawhorse with these brackets you probably shouldn't be building sawhorses or undertaking any projects where you might need sawhorses. Other reviews have mentioned problems with getting 2x4s to fit in the brackets. I used pressure-treated 2x4s, as I had several on hand, and they are a little bit bigger than regular 2x4 boards. By putting the bracket on the floor and fitting the 2x4 into the bracket and then tapping the end of the leg with a hammer you can get the board correctly inserted. It will be snug. For the top board, I used a rasp to take down one corner a little bit and was then able to get the board to sit nicely in the slot on the top of the bracket. See photo above. Just to keep things simple I cut all the boards to 30". You can make the sawhorses any height or width you desire.
I countersunk the bolts to keep the top of the sawhorse flat and I cut the legs at 17.5 degrees so they sit flat on the floor. See photos.

I bought this bracket to replace an old similar item that had failed. Very easy to install. I like it because it can support a flat 2"x6" or 2"x8" surface boards, which is great when working with 4'x8' sheets of plywood or sheetrock. Gave it a 2-star value because it's made of plastic and seems overpriced for the quality. Sawhorses are usually needed in pairs, so you need two sets of this item. Two sets of this bracket for $19.99 would seem to be a reasonable price.

Bought this fully expecting to use an unmodified 2x6 top board, but a standard 2x6 is 3/8" too wide to fit into the grooves. have to rip the full length of the board to get it to fit. LOTS more effort than I had expected. Would not use this product or company again.

These are great brackets they hold the wood very well especially when you add supports and braces to the saw horse. The only complaint I have would be that it says it holds a 2x6 well I had to shave the 2x6 with my table saw a little bit to make it sit in the groove properly but it was easy they work great very happy with this purchase I am buying another one so I have two horses
