I own a number of IEMs and full sized headphones, including the HF3 by Etymotic, so I had a good idea of what to expect from this pair of IEMs. In regards to comfort I have not yet settled on which tips I prefer. With the HF3 I used the triple flange in the standard size, but for what ever reason I cannot get a good seal with that tip on this pair. However, I do achieve a good seal with the large triple flange tips, but find that they cause some discomfort deeper in my ear canal. I wish the company would have provided a midsized triple flange, as I’m pretty sure that one would have fit. J look Lucky, this set came with the dual flanged tips which I have found to be very comfortable and create a good seal.

I feel like the company did an excellent job with this IEM. The sound quality is fantastic! It seems to retain the classic abilities in regards to separation and detail of the balanced armatures, however the bass presence is the icing on the cake.

That being said, there is one thing I do not like... my HF5 had a microphone and control button on the cable. I really miss this convenience, and wish that the company would at least provide a replacement cable for these with those features.

I use these as my daily driver set of IEMs while I’m doing paperwork at my desk, and I have enjoyed them very much. I would easily recommend these to a friend.

The fit is not as uncomfortable as people may think. These earphones offers several eartips along with one set of ear foam tips. They are lightweight which doesn't cause ear fatigue. I rated this product 3 stars because the deep bass sound that this particular model offered did not meet my expectations. The mids are hardly noticable and bass doesn't hit hard. I listen to Hip Hop and DubStep and I was really disappointed with the sound. If you are looking for audiobook, podcasts, Jazz, and some alternative music these might be for you.

The sound is fantastic with great isolation. You can barely hear a lawnmower while listening to music or podcasts. The bass is slightly boosted on this model so it’s not completely neutral. It has tight and accurate bass, it does not have any noticeable sub-bass so it doesn’t slam while listening to EBM. Sounds really good with double bass drums on metal tracks. I love these IEMs my only wish is that they would hit the lower bass frequencies.
