This book contains a number of fairly easy projects geared toward the beginner. They look like nice projects, but if you are looking for a book about building Arts & Crafts style furniture using traditional tools and techniques, this is not the one for you. There is nothing wrong with using a biscuit joiner or pocket screw jig when building furniture, but I was hoping for something which concentrated on traditional joinery. For what it is, it is a good book.

I got this specifically for athe Morris chair — directions weren’t very good and difficult to follow. I made the chair but variated from the vague directions. Didn’t try any other projects from the book yet, but I’m not expecting clear directions.

The book is exactly what it proclaims to be, but "anyone" does not let on to the necessary power tools one would need to complete some of these projects successfully, i.e., not everyone has a table saw or a router.
