I’d like to note that most of these reviews are from parents with no drumming experience- I’m writing this from the perspective of someone who has been playing and using Vic Firth sticks for 25+ years.
If you’re buying these for your little monster to bang on pots, skip this review.
1) Size: these are thin (even thinner than a 7A) and appropriately short (13”) for smaller hands to grip
2) Quality: these are just small Vic Firth sticks and appear to be made just as well. Drumsticks don’t last forever, they get chipped, etc. but these are just as durable as larger sticks
Not so good
1) Paint: the blue paint leaves marks all over the drums, practice pad, etc. I wouldn’t let these anywhere near my drums- why aren’t they made unpainted like the larger sticks?
2) Design: while clearly made for smaller hands, when I was learning common practice was to use a larger stick as they’re easier to control. For new players thin sticks can be hard, especially with jazzy tips
