I love ginseng because it is great for increasing energy without any jitters or tolerance developing. For that, it's actually better than caffeine. And what I appreciate the MOST about it is that it actually gives me more energy to combat adrenal fatigue/chronic fatigue. Caffeine has never been able to do much for that, and I quickly develop a tolerance to it that involves needing to take larger doses over time.

This particular brand goes to work fast, is very effective, and also has a great value in terms of price per pill. In about a half-hour after taking it, I feel full of energy and bounce (did I mention the mood enhancement? Ginseng does that too lol). I can see some folks having issues with swallowing it though, as the pills are very flat and pressed as opposed to being capsuled. So they can easily stick to your tongue, throat, etc., and since they're so small, it can easily become a choking hazard. However, anyone with normal abilities to swallow and normal amounts of saliva shouldn't have any problems with it.

changed from green to white?

These used to be green, but now they are off white.
Ever since I started eating a keto life style (ketogenesis), these ginseng no longer have an effect on me.
Part of me wants to blame the color change for the product effectiveness, but I have some older green ones and I think I tried them and they did not work either. (I'll try them again soon to verify again.)
I also started taking a much larger dose of B12 than the 30mcg (500% RDA) that's in these. I started taking 5,000mcg of B12 which is 83,000% RDA.

Perhaps the only thing that helped was the B12?
Perhaps becoming a fat burner ruins the effect from ginseng?
Perhaps creating my own energy ketones is far more powerful and superior to the tree of life (ginseng tree)?

The color change indicates that their company's powder supplier has changed, which brings into question every review with the previous powder color, since the former powder is no longer used. Along with this change, they raised the price, which mind you is not an indicator of a quality increase but just a powder supplier change. Which means the product is entirely different than this product was in the past. This product is not the same product which gained all the reviews. Therefore... all prior reviews should be removed since the product has changed.

The pills are made with gelatin (protein obtained by boiling cow or pig skin, tendons, ligaments, and/or bones with water. )
So, not vegan, vegetarian and also disgusting. Would've been nice to know this before I ordered, since it's already open, it's now in the trash.

I bought these for cognitive benefits. I'm continuing to buy them for the sleep.
My blood pressure is chronically low (92/64 waking, with lots of dips), so not great perfusion of organs including the brain (darkened vision, pressure, stars, etc when standing up). Ginseng has been shown to improve cerebral blood perfusion, protect Cerebral Microvascular Endothelial Cells against Oxygen-Glucose Deprivation, etc., and I've read a lot about how ginseng is helpful to alleviate hypotension. I have been using this for 2 weeks (2 per day with ginkgo). After one week I started noticing that I was sleeping very deeply. I looked it up, and it turns out that ginseng also improves sleep quality. Who knew?!

7/4/2019 update: This supplement is a rockstar in my experience. Stress related anxiety is gone, and I sleep so well. It's one I never want to be without.

8/8/2020 update: Still a rockstar. Game changer for sleep.
