Gunnar Optiks G0005-C001 SheaDog Full Rim Computer Glasses, Amber Lens
The Gunnar Optiks G0005-C001 SheaDog Full Rim Ergonomic Advanced Computer Glasses is an excellent 'out-of-the-box' solution to improve your visual performance and reduce eye fatigue for those with 20/20 vision. Eyestrain, visual stress and dry eyes can be caused by extended periods of digital screen viewing and office lighting. Gunnar’s digital eyewear filters out the harsh, high-energy part of the spectrum and creates a more relaxed viewing experience to help your eyes focus more naturally.
The amber lens tint, anti-glare coatings and ultra-pure lens material help provide sharper, clearer vision. Gunnar’s i-AMP lens technology is specifically engineered to reduce digital eyestrain and enhance viewing detail so you can focus longer, work more efficiently and feel more comfortable. Made of high tensile steel with an onyx frame finish.

I did my research too. I tried 3 pairs of cheaper blue-blocking glasses, two had added magnification, the ones with 90%+ (orangish lens) were making me motion sick, even when sitting still. So, I immediately ruled those out. From everything I have read the lower spectrum of the blue light is the more intense light and the one that's considered "bad", the upper spectrum is considered "good" so I don't want to block 90%. I found these Gunnars that block 65%, looking at a blue light test, they block the lower spectrum which is exactly what I'm looking for.
These Sheadog versions look a lot like my Maui Jim sunglasses in size and design. That's my first complaint, these sizes should be listed here on Amazon. Some are, some versions have no measurements listed. But if you go to the Gunnar website you can get the measurements for frame width, bridge, temple length (arms) and lens width. What I don't understand is why someone wouldn't list the lens height. That completely changes these glasses. Here's the measurements from these glasses from the Gunnar website:
56 mm lens width, 18mm bridge, 130mm frame width, 130mm temple length.
Based solely on those numbers these glasses are larger than average. And a comparison to a model Gunnar recommends for "wide fit".
The Vayper's size specs
58mm lens width, 15mm bridge, 131mm frame width, 130mm temple.
That's a negligible difference between the Vayper and the Sheadog.
The Sheadog arrived and as soon as I looked at them I saw an immediate problem. The lens height is tiny. You can't get the lens height from Gunnar's site or here on Amazon, either. I did a comparison with my Maui Jim Kahuna sunglasses, you can look a picture of them up and see that they are nearly identical in design to these Sheadog glasses.
The Maui Jim lens height is 1.5 inches (38mm), the Sheadog lens height is 1.12 inches (28mm), that's a huge difference and honestly, if not for looking so silly in them, I would post a picture. You can take my word on this, I can see above and below the lens of the Sheadog. They're plenty wide, bridge fits good, temples are about right. That to me is frustration, defined. The one number I can't find on any website is the one that would have told me these won't work for me. Instead, I now I have to send them back and wait either a day or two to get another pair. I still gave 4 stars because these glasses do what they say they do. And took a star off for lack of information on the measurements. If you have small eyes then these will probably work for you.
