After the fourth replacement request i just received one (a few days ago) that is only marginally in better shape- definitely is not a new tray but it didnt have cuts on the surface, just scratches and dents that definitely did not happen during amazon's shipping, so this manufacturer is definitely NOT supplying amazon's warehouse with new items- i think they should be honest and just tell amazon that the stock is all refurbished or secondhand and charge a slightly lower price so amazon's customers at least know they're not purchasing new items, My advice: if you find someone other than Winware on this site selling pizza trays- take a chance on them instead- you might get a more honest description of product condition before you order.
Also, the picture led me to believe it was an almost flat pan, when in fact the edge bevels up more than 1/2" from the bottom, and only 9" out of the 11" pan is flat. So the two I ordered are going back to Amazon.
I ordered the Winware "Coupe Style" pizza pans from Amazon last week, and they also came beat up, but they are much flatter. They only bevel up 3/8" and a lot less of the pan is beveled, and more of it is flat.
The downside of aluminum is that it's soft. It's virtually impossible to use a pizza cutter without leaving star-shaped scratches on the pan. Unless you're planning on hanging the thing on the wall, this doesn't really affect anything. (And, if you're hanging these on your wall, I highly suggest that you fire your decorator..)
Conclusion: They're cheap. They work. Buy the sizes you need and plan on recycling them when they eventually get completely trashed.
