Glad to have found this source for test strips

I had tried several different companies through Amazon and think this last purchase from Amazon and Diabetic Corner.com, more reliable. The One Touch Ultra strips seem to be uniform in quality, not giving unusual readings unless there was a dietary reason. They are only as good as the meter that reads them. Along with the test strips I ordered, the company has sent a free gift of a different type of lancets that do not fit my meter. My meter uses the Delica lancets that do not hurt as much to use. I am not sure why they send me different lancets, except to have me buy a new meter from them that will use the gift.
Using a different providers One Touch Ultra test strips, I went to the lab for my official blood work, I took my BS at home, and then at the lab and these two readings were 20 min and ten points apart. The official lab test showed a score 20 points lower than the lowest one I had taken. So, the first provider's strips I tried were testing high. In a few weeks, I will see how these test strips from provider Diabetic Corner.com equate with the official lab test. Then I will have a better idea if these are good or not.
As you know heat and contact with air can make the test strips not record correctly. They only give you and idea of where your BS is and the ability to make dietary choices to help lower the readings. I found the One Touch meter easy to use, but the directions not well written for such a simple tool. There are ways to give directions that are easier to understand. Good luck. Becky

Not equivalent to Ultra BLUE

I ordered these by mistake because the picture shows a different item. This is NOT the One Touch Ultra Blue as pictured. The seller says Amazon is responsible for the pictures so they can't do anything about it. I was assured by LifeScan that they are the same strip, just different color paper. However, I get higher readings from this black strip than I get on the Blue. Dipping both strips in the same sample, using the same meter (one immediately after the other), the black strip reads about 40 points higher. I conducted this admittedly unscientific test a few times, varying which strip I use first, and which gets the leftovers. Either way the black reads higher. When sugars are running on the high side this is not really a problem, but if they're running on the low side 40 points is enough to hide a dangerous low.

I used to swear that the One Touch Ultra Blue glucose test strips were the best. But after 2 months of mediocre to barely good results, I am loosing my confidence in them. They are among the most expensive on the market. I know they just had a recall on their new Verio meter test strips. I actually threw the last 12 test strips last month in the trash. The new bottle gave me 7-11 points lower than the one I threw away, but I still got a few readings that were very high compared to my other 2 meters. I have said before that I have yet to find a meter that does not give a bad reading once in a while, but this was too often given the cost of the test strips even Online. For the previous 6 months I swore by them and they were my gold standard I compared other meters to. I hope this proves to be a temporary situation. I miss being able to trust something I considered this important to my health.

Only one box of 25 in a sealed box of 50, buyer beware!

I opened a 'sealed box' and there was only one vial of 25 in it. On the sealed box it says 50 are in it, but when we opened the sealed box there was only one vial of 25 in the sealed box! I don't appreciate being scammed like that!

Test Strips

These test strips are very accurate, but you need to close the lid immediately or they will not work well. Only touch the part that sticks in the machine. When you start using a new tube pour them in your hand and put them in the tube with the blood test part on the bottom. They should do this at the factory. Also wash your hands befor a test for more accurate readings. If you touch and apple or banana or etc. the sugar will be on your skin and the reading will be high.
