作者简介

Coleman Barks is a renowned poet and the bestselling author of The Essential Rumi, Rumi: The Big Red Book, The Soul of Rumi, Rumi: The Book of Love, and The Drowned Book. He was prominently featured in both of Bill Moyers' PBS television series on poetry, The Language of Life and Fooling with Words. He taught English and poetry at the University of Georgia for thirty years, and he now focuses on writing, readings, and performances.

The translator does not even read the language he is supposedly translating.

This is not Rumi. The real poetry of Rumi far exceeds the simplicity of this man, who has made a career from whitewashing this language, culture & poetry for his own financial ends.

The book was beautifully put together and well thought out.
Good for those who have little or a lot of Rumi knowledge.
A great many of the quotes will stick with you long after you've read the book.

Very re-readable, reasonably priced and unforgettable.
