Using with a super clamp and other Manfrotto accessories to make a laptop stand on my tripod. It works well, and, provided that it is rightly oriented on the tripod relative to other stuff, it is quite stable. If you do use it this way then be careful: it really must be oriented rightly relative to other attachments and equipment or the whole thing wants to tip over. Would definitely buy it again. At this pricepoint, I think it is the best solution.

Works just as it is supposed to. Allows me to add another modifier lower on a stand or have a modifier slightly off center of a stand.

This and a super clamp = another light or flag on the same stand... or on a table leg, post, whatever. I've had one of these for years and didn't know if they were still manufactured - just got 2 more. Just get a longer 5/8 superclamp pin and you can stick a light or a grip head on an existing stand. Great for flagging or gelling a light, or when you need to blast several lights through a scrim.

I have worked in a pro photography studio environment for over 30 years. I can't imagine working without the many quality tools
manufactured by this company. Everything is durable, dependable, affordable, and built to last. It's an investment that pays dividends with every successful shoot. This short extension arm is often just what is needed to give room for lights (or camera) to move freely from a support stand or pole.
