I'm weird, I really dig staplers.
Anyhow, I needed something to do a bunch of little booklets. I was looking at super expensive saddle staplers and also those really deep ones (also can be pretty pricey). Both of those are huge and take up a lot of space, which I don't have much of. This thing is compact and gets the job done. I'd say any booklets up to 8.5x11 folded you could easily do with this. Anything longer (on the binding side) you might not get be able to reach in as far as you'd like. I don't plan on stapling anything bigger than a standard comic book size, so this was perfect for me.
It's made of plastic and metal, and feels sturdy. I used it on a run of 300 booklets to start, and it held up great and never jammed once.
My only gripe about this is that it does not use standard size stapes. It uses #10 mini staples, which I did not have, and could not find locally. I got them (made my the same company, Max) here on amazon, though. I was a little frustrated that I had to wait a few more days for staples though. It would be a little better if I could get staples whenever I need them, and not have to special order them.
