After just a short time of playing, the surface that mates up with the beater degraded so that the beater actually sinks in to the foam behind the batter surface. You then have to adjust the position of the muffler either left or right to avoid the hole from the beater. Not worth the $, by a long shot.
I bought all of the Evans SoundOff mutes, for all of my drums on my 7 piece kit and all of my cymbals. I'll gladly give every other pad for every other piece of the drum kit 5 Stars! The cymbal and snare/tom mutes work great! This one however I had some issues with. It adjusts really well to your comfort which I enjoyed, but that was all I liked about it. It muted the kick drum pretty well but it wasn't great. I play drums a lot and with living in town, these pads made it nice for playing later at night. So they weren't getting heavily used, but they were being used and decent amount. After a about 2 weeks the kick drum pad got a huge hole through it, defeating it's muting purpose and one of the arms that holds it in place snapped off. I used it like that for another couple months, covering it in duct tape until about a week ago I bought a new one.
Great concept but disappointing. There isn't very good bounce action on the pad. I put the drum mute pad on my snare hoping for something fairly responsive as my snare or practice pad. Also, I had to remove it from my office where my drum kit is. While working in my office, my eyes started to burn and I traced it to the pad. I removed it from my office and my eyes quit burning. Another disappointment but perhaps airing it out a month or so before use would help. As it is, I can't have in my office. Having said all of this, please note my intent is not to slam Evans as I love Evans drum heads and have used them for years and will continue to.
5.0 颗星，最多 5 颗星Well, that's one way to quiet those pesky cymbals down.

They work. Plain and simple.
We have 14" hi hats and these hang over quite a bit. That's not the mute's fault. Maybe I missed a hi hat version.
Now, muting aside, they make the cymbals sound horrible, but sounding good isn't what people like us have in mind when we're buying these, am i right? A little more peace of mind is found when we buy these and they do exactly as the description claims. Is it quite 80%? There's really no way to measure it, but it's good enough for me to rate both these and the drum mutes at 5 stars, which is something I don't do a ton of.
For the record, the drum mutes are awesome. Just make sure you buy the right ones for your kit. There's a different between the standard and the fusion sets.
