Can't go wrong with a 6D Cell Maglite. It's a good, intense beam that can be focused as required. Dunno about the battery life yet, as I have only had it a few weeks, but I expect it'll last. It's also a solid piece of metal that may be used in self-defence or to break out a window (God forbid I ever need it for those purposes).
The length is a bit challenging to stow, in my Mercedes-Benz E350 convertible. I found a workaround by placing it next to the driver seat, between the seat and door. Maglite should consider designing/selling clip on clamps that can be easily attached (without screws), somewhere on car pillars or seats, especially with special options for convertibles which don't have the middle pillars and have limited interior space.
Other than that, I'm very happy with my purchase.
