I recently discovered the Planet Stories Series and I have been blown away with the richness and quality of the stories. These are fun, escapist, adventure stories. The Outlaws of Mars introduces you to Jerry Morgan and his travel to Mars in the early 20th century. It has all of the points of the genre, beautiful princesses, evil men trying to seize power and our hero, wrongly accused of a crime and turning his misfortune into astounding success. But the author makes it come alive, you can see the great cities and the endless deserts, smell the smoke and hear the clanging of the swords. I recommend this for anyone looking for a good time spent on another world being the hero. Just plain fun.

I like someone that has the nerve to make a go at it and write. O.A.K. got better as he moved to his other books. I have all that I know that he wrote.

I would recommend to all my friends that like a good story and I have.

The book was just as I remembered it from my teens; a fun adventure on Kline's Mars. The hero is transported to Mars by physical means and meets a princess, with whom he falls in love. He finds and comes to lead a tribe of desert nomads against the princess's father's city. A good rousing adventure.

Good writing, but not great

Good writing, but not great, like Edgar Rice Burroughs or Robert E. Howard. His stories are fast paced and before you know it, the book is done. I bought the series for the investment value. Having all the books makes it a better buy for people interested in 1930's science fiction.

I really enjoy this style of writing. Like a serial. A cliffhanger at the end of each chapter and lots of action and weird and wonderful characters.
